County Battery Services Ltd established in 1974, so has over 40 years of experience and expertise in servicing customer requirements within the battery industry. Ideally located in the centre of the country with branches within East Midlands, which provides easy access to the whole of the UK. The company provide a wide range of products, from small household batteries to batteries for lorries and much more.

The company have previous apprentices, one who now manages the warehouse and another who is now in charge at the Nuthall Depot.
The company also have an apprentice who currently studies AAT level 3 in accounting and an apprentice who after a successful first year will be enrolling in a level 3 team leader and supervisor role.

County Battery operate a ‘lean culture' and strive to constantly improve, you will be taught a lean way of thinking and be given invaluable business knowledge and skills. Operating as part of a small team the ideal candidate should have no problem taking part in group discussions and working closely with other colleagues.

County Battery operate a pathway system that encourages staff to improve themselves and the business, the pathway system allows staff starting on £4 per hour to progress to £17.50 an hour upon completion. After 3 months we would expect you to be earning £5 an hour and after one year upwards of £10 per hour.

They believe that knowledge is power and that apprentices are their future, and for apprentices to develop into a well-rounded, business minded individual, you must first understand the company from start to finish and the products they sell.

  • Coming up with new ideas to improve your job role and the business
  • Picking & Packing within the warehouse environment
  • Using relevant technology to help with warehouse tasks
  • Ensuring health and safety is of paramount concern in the warehouse
  • Managing the Goods In function of the business

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
