The Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC) was established in 1983 to help develop and maintain industry training needs. They are a ‘not for profit' membership organisation whose members are derived from the quarrying, mineral products, mining, construction, and related manufacturing sectors. Mpskills is the training division of MPQC.

MP Skills has led industry training and competency assessment within the extractives sector for over 30 years and provide services that cover the whole of the UK.

They are now in a position to offer an apprenticeship opportunity to someone who is passionate about learning and progressing their career, who is confident speaking to people over the phone and that has a proactive attitude.

You will be supported by a workplace mentor who will help you to develop the knowledge and skills to be successful in your role, you will also have visits in your workplace from a specialist to enable you to complete a qualification in Business Administration.

  • Handle incoming calls
  • Develop relationships within the industry
  • Arrange Site visits for the Sales Team
  • Support both the Sales Manager and Marketing/Communications Officer directly
  • Develop and maintain Contact lists
  • Identify Marketing opportunities
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of our Customer Relationship Management Tool (Nexus)
  • Work with the Sales Pipeline to develop business opportunities
  • Copy-Writing of Marketing materials for MP Skills including external communications
  • Graphic Design of Marketing materials for MP Skills
  • Assist with organisational event management on behalf of MP Skills
  • Overseeing the MP Skills social media including content generation and curation
  • Contribute to the overall financial targets of the Sales Team.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
