AF Switchgear are one of the UK's largest switchgear manufacturers and set the standard for LV Switchgear and Power Distribution. We have four manufacturing facilities on two sites in Nottinghamshire adjacent to Junction 28 of the M1 giving us transport links all across the country. Our modern design, administration and manufacturing facilities cover over two hectares. Chartered Engineers and dedicated Project Managers to manage every aspect of any contract. We manage every process in house from concept design with end clients and consultants through to commissioning and service. We install and commission all our own equipment. . Our Administration function is an essential part of supporting every member of AF Switchgear, whilst ensuring that the day to day operation of the business is conducted smoothly.

Responsible to Central Services Supervisor.

  • Place orders as directed onto efacs system.
  • Mail, fax collection and delivery (tray runs).
  • Filing/archiving of accounting paperwork, quotes, contracts etc.
  • Entering parts onto parts master within efacs.
  • Maintain/ update parts database within efacs.
  • Assist Engineering in the supply of contract/ site / work files.
  • Maintaining catering supplies in all Departments.
  • Maintaining stationery supplies in all Departments.
  • Place orders as directed onto efacs system.
  • Production of O & M manuals.
  • Progressing of orders placed with suppliers.
  • Matching purchase ledger invoices to deliveries on efacs system.
  • Collation of non-conformance records, updating supplier master records &

marrying to credit notes where necessary.

  • Arranging delivery of goods via carriers.
  • Create delivery notes for non-contract goods as directed.
  • Create Switchboard labels as required.
  • Issue of uniforms and maintenance of records/stock.
  • Arranging vehicle hire, updating boards and logging of AF vehicles.
  • Arranging accommodation/travel as directed
  • Update and maintain company quality documents when necessary.

Re-stock quality documents throughout the Company

  • To input Contract Review Document details onto Efacs i.e. Sales Order
  • Scanning documents.
  • CD writing/copying.
  • Share telephone answering role with Receptionist and ensure that the telephone

Is promptly answered.

  • Assist as necessary re provision of catering requirements
  • (Staff/visitors/meetings buffets etc).
  • Carry out general clerical and other duties as delegated by the Central Services

Supervisor/Central Services Manager.

  • Attend meetings as required/requested.
  • Comply with the BS EN ISO 9001 quality system.
  • Actively engender team working, QA compliance, and the successful
  • operation, maintenance/creation of applicable procedures, standards and work
  • Instructions.
  • To provide above in respect of AF Fabrications.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
