Apprentices earn a salary, gain real work experience and achieve qualifications THAT ARE NATIONALLY RECOGNISED

An apprentice is someone employed by a company in a specific role. As an apprentice you will learn ‘on-the-job’. This may mean that you go to college on day release or undertake all of your training at work – it varies depending on your role and your employer.

There are three levels of apprenticeship in total, which include the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship, the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship (a university-level qualification). The level of apprenticeship you do will depend on previous qualifications and experience and the type of industry you will work in.

levels description

Apprentices earn a salary, gain real work experience and achieve qualifications that are nationally-recognised and important to employers.

There are no associated debts or fees to pay, like at university or college, and as an apprentice you'll be entitled to annual holiday pay and other benefits just like any other employee.
